based organisation.

 

The VLCC endorses strong positive community relationships, land is committed to working closely with the Victorian Lebanese community, mainstream, ethno-specific services, government
and interested groups.

    Our Mission

     

    To emphasise the importance of working towards strengthening community harmony, whilst highlighting the contribution and achievements of the Australian-Lebanese within a multicultural Australia.


     

    Our Goals

     

  • To encourage stronger relationships between Victorian people of Lebanese background and the wider Victorian community.

  •  

  • To enhance awareness of the Australian-Lebanese community with an emphasis on promoting a balanced and accurate representation.

  •  

  • To provide information and community education on a broad range of issues to the wider community.

  •  

  • To act as a consultative body to Government, media and professional organisations, and provide policy advice to Government on all matters affecting the Australian-Lebanese community.

  • To research, highlight and promote the achievements and contributions of the Australian-Lebanese people to the wider Australian community.

  •  

  • To encourage greater participation of Australian-Lebanese in Australian social and political life.

  •  

  • To maintain and further build coordinated and supportive partnerships, including networking opportunities.

  • To oppose extremism and community division, and reinforce active work towards strengthening community cohesion.
