VLCC held a fundraiser BBQ at All Nutt Park in Bentleigh, to support the "Lebanon Football Team" compete in the Multicultural Cup as part of Harmony Day celebrations, an Australian Government initiative, administered by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC).

VLCC Launch
Wednesday 17 October 2007, marked the official launch of the Victorian Lebanese Community Council (VLCC). At Prahran Town Hall, VLCC welcomed the many members of the Arabic-speaking, ethnic and mainstream community who attended in support of VLCC’s establishment and goals. Whilst guest speakers engaged the audience with issues relevant to the Lebanese community, VLCC sponsors made it possible for all to experience the delights of Lebanese food and dance.

VLCC Networking & Relationship Building
Dr. Michael Kheirallah (Chairperson) and Ms. Viviane Chemali (Deputy Chairperson) met with Federal Member of Parliament Mr. Petro Georgiou, and other Liberal and Labour Members of Parliament. VLCC also met with Mr. George Lekakis (Chairperson/Executive Officer) of the Victorian Multicultural Commission, the Consulate General of Lebanon, Mr. Mohammed Skayni, and Arabic-speaking professionals and leaders.

VLCC Establishment, Board Members and Goals
In April 2007, 18 professionals from the Lebanese Community met to form the Victorian Lebanese Community Council (VLCC) — a not-for-profit, non-sectarian community organisation, committed to working closely with the Lebanese community, government and both mainstream and ethno-specific community services. VLCC aims to address the needs of the Lebanese community, encourage opportunities for positive contribution and strengthen community harmony.
